Bellevue's Community Programming Fund (CPF) has supported nearly 40 events this year, including a book giveaway at Downtown Park and a night market in BelRed. Launched to unite residents, workers, and visitors, the CPF provided grants of up to $15,000 for activities along the Grand Connection corridor. The program aims to return next year with an emphasis on series-based programming and World Cup themes. Additionally, the latest edition of It's Your City discusses guidelines for e-bikes and e-scooters, cautioning users about safety while navigating public spaces. The City Council is inviting input on 37 proposed locations for new speed safety cameras, which aim to reduce speeding-related crashes. Deputy Mayor Mo Malakoutian's Council Corner column encourages residents to make daily choices that enhance mental and physical health, highlighting the benefits of Bellevue's parks and community centers. The resident newsletter, It's Your City, is distributed three times a year to all residential and business addresses in Bellevue. The next issue is scheduled for early spring, and residents can contact the editor for feedback.
