Free Bellevue Naturalist training

Bellevue Naturalists invite community members to apply for a free training program aimed at developing environmental volunteers. The program, which prioritizes Bellevue residents, will run from February 5 to April 23, 2026, with sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, complemented by Saturday field trips. Ideal candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and a passion for the outdoors. Participants will learn to lead hikes, canoe trips, and assist in forest restoration efforts. After completing the training, volunteers must commit to 100 hours of service with the Parks & Community Services Department’s Natural Resources division. This initiative aims to enhance environmental awareness and stewardship within the Bellevue community. Applications must be submitted by November 30 to secure a spot in the program. The training not only benefits the environment but also fosters a sense of community engagement and responsibility.
