Peruvian Restaurant, La Mar, to Open in Bellevue October 14

La Mar, the acclaimed Peruvian restaurant, is preparing to open its Bellevue location at 10508 Main Street on October 14, marking its third U.S. outlet. The restaurant will occupy a spacious 10,000 square-foot area within the West Main building, which is fully leased to Amazon, adding to the area's vibrant food scene. Founder Gastón Acurio emphasized the rich tapestry of Peruvian cuisine, which integrates influences from Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, and Andean traditions. The Bellevue venue will feature both indoor and outdoor seating options, including a terrace and a ceviche bar, along with an open kitchen concept that allows diners to engage with the culinary process. Chef Kaoru Chang, a third-generation Nikkei, is excited to introduce dishes that reflect Peru's culinary heritage while incorporating local Pacific Northwest ingredients. The drink menu will prominently feature pisco and craft cocktails, including the exclusive Rainier Sour. Lunch and dinner service hours are set, with the lounge open daily. Reservations are currently available through their website, enhancing accessibility for eager patrons.
