Kelsey Creek Farm Fair celebrates city’s rural past

The Kelsey Creek Farm Fair will celebrate its 42nd year on October 5, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering a nostalgic glimpse into Bellevue's agricultural past. The event will feature a range of activities for families, including pony rides, a pumpkin patch, and tractor-pulled wagon rides, alongside hands-on heritage activities that highlight the region's rural roots. Free shuttle services will be available from Bannerwood Sports Park and Wilburton Park and Ride, ensuring accessibility for all attendees. The farm, which spans 150 acres, has a rich history dating back to the 1920s when Twin Valley Dairy supplied milk and butter to local residents. In 1970, the City of Bellevue acquired the property, transforming it into a public park that showcases the area's natural beauty. While the event promises fun for all ages, visitors should be aware that some activities may have associated costs and that pets are not allowed in the barnyard. For further inquiries, guests can reach out to Kelsey Creek Farm via phone or email. This celebration not only highlights local agriculture but also fosters community engagement and family bonding.
