The Bellevue Collection Welcomes Proto101, a New Sustainable Clothing Brand in Downtown
Proto101 has opened its flagship store at Bellevue Square, a key shopping destination in downtown Bellevue. This retail space emphasizes sustainability, offering a variety of garments crafted from ethically sourced materials, including an innovative blend of Supima Cotton and Tencel, all priced under $100. By planting a tree for every garment sold, Proto101 has made a significant environmental impact, planting 20,000 trees in 2022, which helped remove 440,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Jennifer Leavitt, the Bellevue Collection's vice president of marketing, views Proto101's arrival as an enhancement to the shopping center's commitment to environmental stewardship. Co-founder Liyin Kok is enthusiastic about reaching the Eastside community, building on their success in Seattle. The store operates Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., aiming to attract a modern clientele seeking meaningful and sustainable apparel.
