Inaugural Paws Pride Dog Jog Walk to Celebrate Pride Month in Downtown Bellevue on June 4

The inaugural Paws & Pride Dog Jog & Walk is scheduled for June 4 in Downtown Bellevue, serving as a vibrant kickoff to Pride Month and promoting LGBTQIA+ visibility in the Eastside community. Organized by the Bellevue Downtown Association in partnership with Eastside Pride PNW, the event features a non-competitive 4K jog and walk that aims to unite community members and allies. Registration is currently open, with fees starting at $25, and net proceeds supporting local nonprofits Seattle Humane and Lambert House, which empowers LGBTQIA+ youth. The event promises an array of festivities, including a dog costume contest and the Seattle Humane's MaxMobile, showcasing adoptable pets. Additionally, various vendors and family activities will create an engaging atmosphere for all participants. Attendees will receive goodie bags with personalized event bandanas as keepsakes and enjoy activities designed for kids, such as rainbow stomp rockets. According to Corrinalyn Guyette of Eastside Pride PNW, this milestone event is an opportunity for the community to foster belonging and visibility for all. Trinity Parker from Symetra expressed excitement for supporting an event that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion, making it a celebration that is both joyful and meaningful.
