Chef John Howie Celebrates 20 Years of Seastar Restaurant

On March 11, Chef John Howie will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar in Downtown Bellevue, showcasing its commitment to culinary excellence and community engagement. As part of the festivities, the restaurant will offer a 20% discount on select menu items and host a special rotating menu from March 11-31. Seastar has a long-standing tradition of giving back, including hosting Thanksgiving dinners for hundreds of underprivileged guests, which has become a hallmark of their community involvement. During the pandemic, the restaurant prepared and delivered over 10,000 meals to healthcare workers and donated 950 Thanksgiving dinners through their Pay-It Forward meal program. Chef Howie emphasized the importance of community support, stating that without it, the restaurant would not have survived numerous challenges over the years. The anniversary celebration will also unveil new photographs that honor those who have contributed to the restaurant's legacy.
