Brighten Up Your Holidays With Garden d'Lights

The 26th annual Garden d'Lights is set to dazzle visitors in Bellevue from Nov. 27 to Dec. 31, showcasing over half a million lights arranged in enchanting, whimsical displays. After last year's cancellation due to the pandemic, excitement is palpable as the beloved event makes its return, organized by the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society in collaboration with the City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services. Co-Chair Cleo Raulerson highlighted the community's eagerness, stating, “People are so excited that we're going to be back.” The event relies heavily on volunteers, who contribute over 9,000 hours to ensure the displays are meticulously crafted and improved each year. Garden d'Lights has evolved since its inception in 1994, originally started by Garden Manager Nancy Kartes, and now includes intricate designs and environmentally friendly LED lights. This year, only online tickets will be sold, with limits on guest entry to adhere to safety measures during the ongoing pandemic. The light show promises both familiar favorites and new surprises for attendees to enjoy. For those seeking more holiday festivities, Bellevue's "Season of Cheer" offers a collection of celebratory events across the region.
