Hello Yellow! Lanterns Are Back in the Heart of Bellevue

The Bellevue Downtown Association has reinstated its colorful lantern project, showcasing over 600 yellow lanterns across Downtown Bellevue, enhancing the area's vibrancy. The lanterns will be prominently displayed along the route from the Bellevue Transit Center to Lincoln Square, as well as in other popular locations like Bellevue Way and Downtown Park. Mike Ogliore, the association's vice president, highlighted the collaborative effort with local property owners and businesses, which adds a sense of community pride to the installation. This project aligns with the Grand Connection vision, a strategic initiative aimed at transforming Downtown Bellevue into a lively pedestrian corridor. With the lanterns up for the summer, residents and visitors are encouraged to take photos and use the hashtag #HeartofBellevue to share their experiences. The project has received significant support from key local stakeholders, including Amazon and the City of Bellevue. This initiative not only adds aesthetic appeal but also fosters community engagement and boosts local business visibility.
