Webinar, survey on Meydenbauer Bay Park expansion plans

The City of Bellevue will host a webinar on November 7, 2024, to share prospective designs for the expansion of Meydenbauer Bay Park, one of the region's most cherished recreational spots. Participants can engage in a Q&A with the design team to discuss the plans and provide their insights. An online survey will be available from November 7 to December 15, encouraging community feedback on the designs, which aim to enhance amenities and improve accessibility. The community has voiced a strong desire for additional parking, greener spaces, and better pedestrian and water access, all of which are incorporated into the updated design. This expansion is in line with the 2010 Meydenbauer Bay Park and Land Use Plan, emphasizing the city's commitment to sustainable development. Following this design phase, construction and permitting documents will be developed, with construction expected to occur in phases based on community feedback and funding availability. Attendees of the webinar will also have the chance to enter a raffle for free ice-skating tickets, promoting community engagement. This initiative reflects Bellevue's dedication to enhancing recreational spaces for residents and visitors alike.
