Bellevues Free BellHop Shuttle Expands

Bellevue's BellHop shuttle service is expanding its fleet with the addition of three new 2025 Kia EV9 vehicles, positioning it as a leader in sustainable public transportation. These electric vehicles bring several advantages, including reduced charging times that allow for longer service hours and increased ridership. Enhanced climate control ensures a comfortable experience for passengers year-round, while faster travel speeds improve overall efficiency for pick-ups. Since its inception in August 2023, BellHop has successfully provided over 134,000 rides and has significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 60 metric tons. Key stakeholders, including Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson and Amazon's Vice President of Global Real Estate & Facilities, have expressed strong support for the initiative, emphasizing its alignment with Bellevue's sustainability priorities. The partnership between Visit Bellevue, Circuit, and local businesses underscores a shared commitment to innovative transportation solutions. As BellHop continues to grow, it opens new possibilities for expanded service areas and improved accessibility for all residents. This initiative not only enhances local mobility but also contributes to a greener future for the Bellevue community.
