Live at Lunch Goes Virtual As New Heart of Bellevue Summer Series
The Bellevue Downtown Association has reimagined its iconic Live at Lunch concert series, which has been a staple for 20 years, now launching the virtual Heart of Bellevue Summer Series due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting July 15, 2020, the concerts will be broadcast live every Wednesday from noon to 1 PM, showcasing talented local artists. This innovative approach allows Downtown Bellevue’s workers, residents, and visitors to engage with live music safely from their homes. Plans are in place to resume in-person performances once King County progresses to Phase 3 of Washington’s Safe Start Plan, with outdoor venues like Bellevue Square’s Fountain Court as potential locations. Mike Ogliore, VP of Events at the Bellevue Downtown Association, highlighted the importance of maintaining community connections and supporting local musicians during this transformative time. The Heart of Bellevue Summer Series not only aims to keep music alive but also to rejuvenate the downtown area as it gradually reopens. With a full schedule of performances available online, the initiative encourages community participation and excitement. Save the date on Facebook to join in the celebration of local artistry while prioritizing health and safety.
