Eastside Climate Partnership launches Solarize Eastside
The Eastside Climate Partnership has officially launched Solarize Eastside, aiming to simplify solar panel installations for homes and businesses in Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond, and Sammamish. By signing up for free solar assessments until July 4, 2025, residents can receive tailored solar proposals at reduced rates from reputable local installers. The initiative is bolstered by financing options through Puget Sound Cooperative Credit Union, making solar energy more affordable for participants. Solar panels not only help reduce energy bills but also offer net metering benefits, allowing users to earn credits for excess energy fed back into the grid. To further support community members, free public workshops will be held, providing valuable insights into solar energy and the installation process. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact directly with experts, enhancing their understanding and confidence in solar technology. This collaboration among local governments reflects a commitment to sustainability and reducing climate pollution. The Solarize Eastside program stands as a pivotal step toward a greener future for the Eastside communities.
